Privacy Policy

Sukima ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by J&B Creations. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

The Short Version

Your tasks and data stay on your device. We don't track you, show you ads, or sell your information. The only reason we need an account is to verify your subscription.

Data Storage

Sukima stores all your tasks, categories, locations, steps, and preferences locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is not uploaded to our servers or any cloud storage. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed.

Account Information

Sukima uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. When you sign in, we receive:

• A unique, anonymous user identifier (provided by Apple)
• Your email address (only if you choose to share it)

This information is used solely to verify your identity and manage your subscription status. We do not use your Apple ID for marketing, tracking, or any other purpose.

AI Processing

When you use Sukima's AI features (task categorization, voice dump extraction, smart suggestions, daily planning), the text of your tasks is sent to our backend service, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Specifically:

• Task titles and descriptions are sent for AI categorization
• Voice transcriptions are sent for task extraction
• Task summaries (titles, priorities, deadlines) are sent for "what now?" suggestions and daily planning

This data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers or by Anthropic beyond the immediate API request. Anthropic's data usage policy can be found at anthropic.com/privacy.

Subscription & Payments

Subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information. Apple handles all billing, receipts, and payment data according to their own privacy policy.

Microphone & Speech Recognition

Sukima requests microphone access and speech recognition permission to enable voice brain dumps. Audio is processed on-device using Apple's Speech framework to convert your voice to text. The resulting text is then processed by our AI service as described above. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio.

Analytics & Tracking

Sukima does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not collect usage data, device identifiers, or behavioral information. We do not use cookies on this website beyond what is strictly necessary for it to function.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The only data that leaves your device is:

• Task text sent to our AI service for processing (not stored)
• Your anonymous Apple ID for subscription verification

Waitlist & Email Signups

If you sign up for our waitlist on this website, we collect your email address and which page you signed up from. This data is used solely to send you a confirmation email and to notify you when Sukima launches. We do not share your email with third parties. You can request removal from the waitlist at any time by contacting us at info@sukima.ai.

Sub-processors

We use the following third-party services to operate Sukima:

• Cloudflare — Hosting our API and website, storing account and subscription data (KV storage)
• Anthropic (Claude API) — Processing AI features. Task text is sent for real-time processing and is not stored.
• Resend — Sending transactional emails (waitlist confirmation). Only your email address is shared.
• Apple — Authentication (Sign in with Apple) and subscription billing (App Store)

Data Retention

Since your task data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. Deleting the app removes all local data. Your account information (anonymous Apple ID, subscription status, and usage counts) is retained on our server only as long as your account is active.

Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar privacy laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Access — You can export your server-side data at any time from Settings in the app.
• Right to Erasure — You can permanently delete your account and all associated server data from Settings in the app.
• Right to Data Portability — You can export your local items from Settings, and your server-side data via the in-app export feature.
• Right to Rectification — Contact us to correct any inaccurate personal data.
• Right to Restriction — Contact us to request restriction of processing of your data.
• Right to Object — You may object to processing of your personal data by contacting us.

To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app features or contact us at info@sukima.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your data under the following legal bases:

• Contract — Account and subscription data is processed to provide the Sukima service you signed up for.
• Consent — Waitlist emails are collected and processed based on your explicit consent when you submit the signup form.
• Legitimate Interest — We maintain minimal usage counts to enforce free-tier limits and prevent abuse.

Children's Privacy

Sukima is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
